Instead, it waits until your battery drops a few percentage points by itself. ![]() Sailing mode does not actively discharge (eg unplug) your MacBook. Maybe as the battery gets older, I'll start to see the battery percentage drop from 80% - as the older battery won't hold its charge as well any more (which was one of his two reasons for the 80% level dropping, cell chemistry). His two reasons don't apply - the newer battery in an M1 Mac isn't discharging much because of cell chemistry, and there are few if any times that the M1 Mac has to draw power from both the power adapter and the battery. On an M1 Mac, the battery (at least when it's newer) will hold that 80% charge most/all of the time (as the two reasons he gives for why the percentage would drop won't happen much on a newer M1 Mac), which is why I don't see the percentage drop from 80% to 70%. I think what he is saying is the MagSafe charger powers the Mac even when the battery is at 80%, and AlDente keeps the battery charge from going above 80%. I should have known that was wrong as the LED is "orange" which means "charging" (and connected of course). I think my misunderstanding was that I thought the battery powers the Mac once the battery is at 80% and that the power adapter does not supply power until the battery drops to 70%, at which time AlDente lets the power adapter charge until the battery is back up to 80%. I heard back, I pasted what he said below. ![]() Mimestream for iphone instal1/6/2024 ![]() ![]() The default labels of ‘Gmail’ and ‘GSuite’ for my two accounts aren’t particularly helpful. In the inbox, emails appear in Gmail’s default conversation view, meaning if you get four or five replies to the same message from different folk, they all appear within the one message, making them easier to triage. There are no CC or BCC fields - you have to press a button if you want those to appear. It has only four buttons: one to adjust the font, one to insert emojis, one to add attachments and one to send. The new email screen is indicative of this stripped-back approach. Everything is simple, business-like, and geared to getting stuff done quickly, which is fine by me: the less time I spend dealing with my inbox, the better. There aren’t tons of icons, like there are in Outlook, and there’s barely a splash of color anywhere. There is nothing fussy about the Mimestream interface. Outlook, on the other hand, is close to being the top resource hog. Outlook consumed 332MB of memory on my Mac, and Apple’s Mail used 145MB, Mimestream consumed around 80MB, making it one of the least demanding apps on my Mac. ![]() Mimestream is much less demanding of your Mac’s resources than rival email apps, too. ![]() Diablo bvb fort of chains1/6/2024 ![]() Just make sure you have some way to get Life Tap. Key Gear Considerations for Smiter PaladinĪs mentioned above, the most common use for the Smiter build is as a bosskiller, primarily for downing Ubers during the Pandemonium Event. Instead, Smiters use items that proc Life Tap to recover Life during fights. It works well with Crushing Blow and Open Wounds, but does not work at all with Deadly Strike, Life Steal, or Mana Steal. Since it is a shield-based attack, Smite works somewhat differently than other skills. If you're trying to min-max your equipment, things can get pricey. I hate the little buggers, and they fail all the time for me, or it takes me hours to do just a few wires. On the JST-JWPF seems to be fine as long as *I'm* not the one crimping them. The 3rd party tools aren't quite as nice, but they work just fine. It might be odd, but we have found much better reliability with the JST connectors and pins. We have reduced our failures by making a jig that holds the wire and the crimp entirely inline, but building that jig probably cost as much as a pneumatic crimper. They are fine for machine crimping, but we have a failure rate over 50% with hand crimping these. MX and MXP connectors are a pain in the ass. I like the ones with the little barb.you push it through your solder hole, and it holds the wire in place while you get your heat on. If you have stuff that gets yanked on, use these. They are crimps that reinforce the wire at the solder. My favorite one is made from a ground down bicycle spoke. Buying or building a pin-set tool is vital for this. Most of the errors we see here are from improper pin orientation or setting. We use nano in about 50% of our non-waterproof stuff. The Nano-fit are also good, but the 3rd party crimpers are crap. Also, the cheap tools for crimping these are superior to the Molex branded tool (which suffers from slow pin loading and requires ultra-precise alignment.easy to mis crimp stuff) as well as being 1/8 the price The dual crimp (wire and insulation) results in connections that are plenty robust for multiple uses. The Molex Mini-Fit stuff, while a bit large, is very reliable. We use several types of connector (crimped) at work. Soldering a connector contact designed for crimping increases the likelihood of the wire breaking at the connector body. The improvement gained by soldering was simply due to poor inital practice. But those centered around improper tooling or methods. A good example are the numerous MTA failures with the Klee kit. While it may be true in the isolated case, it is not good practice. Suggest taking that with a grain of salt. This statement is sure to result in anecdotal reassurances that soldered MTAs and other crimped connectors actually increased their reliability. ![]() ![]() While soldering a connector designed for crimping is often possible, you will almost always reduce its lifetime and reliability over a proper crimped connection to stranded wire. If youre making things for pay, get the right tools.
